I just learned that the D800 does have a Silent / Quiet shutter mode. I have occasionally attracted attention from the shutter noise of the D3 when shooting. I will be very exited to test out this new feature. I’ll see what I can do about a decible meter if I can figure out a way, maybe the iPad might have something I can use.
