Just a photo from yesterday’s wedding.
I was working the Cincinnati Bridal and Formal show yesterday, here are most of the gowns there. Great looking gowns and beautiful girls to show them. I got to meet some really friendly photographers there, you can never have too many photog friends to talk to and learn from. Having a D3 around my shoulder made me a bit of a target of photogs up and down the isle but i’m a talker so if you ever have questions just come up and say hello.
I am really starting to learn the ins and outs of this D3. There metering system has really changed from the D200. Right now I am finding that matrix metering is best for me, whereas center weighted was best on the D200. Learning about your gear and how it works is key to successfully exposed photographs. Take time to learn your camera system before you get into those events where you either get the job done or go home with your tail between your legs.
All of these photos were taken with the D3, ISO 800, 70-200 f2.8 @ 200mm f4 Aperture priority. Shutter speeds were usually around 1/800s. Most images cropped in about 25%. Also, these images are straight out of the camera besides the cropping. I shot in RAW+JPEG. These are the Jpeg, in camera I have a -2 for the contrast.
My last wedding of 2007. First off, Veronica and Steve are a great couple and I hope and pray that they will be together forever, they make such a great couple. Thanks to Ryan Dlugosz for shooting with me, he took a lot of great photos. The photos you see were taken with my D3 or D200 14-20, 24-70, and 70-200 (all f2.8) Nikkor lenses and Ryan’s Canon 30D with his myriad of similar L lenses all shot in RAW. All images below edited individually in Lightroom 1.3.1

Happy New Year everybody!!!
The other day I meet Kelly Sullivan from Moment To Moment Social event planning. She is a very organized and and through planner and any bridge would be stres free having her organize their wedding for sure. We had a few moment and took some photos so she could update your page. She does smile all the time, it’s great! Click here to go to her webpage.
I had a fantastic time shooting Sarah’s and Chris’s wedding.
I edited this a bit different than I normally do, I made a video montage of their wedding, please take a look but be warned, these are extremely LARGE files.

Their surprise first dance photos.
What a great couple. Matt was super nervous but hey, it’s a big day and Elaine is a great girl. It seems like they are going to be happy for a long long time. There are a lot of photos so I’m just going to post one of Elaine and Matt and link to a few more.
Ok, I will never again do this shot.
This is the result after we removed the flowers!
This is the culprit! The florist normally remove the pollen in the StarGazers but sometimes they open up during the wedding and the florist couldn’t do anything about it.
We got it cleaned off thankfully, but it wasn’t coming off for a while!
